As a result of advertisements in the Church Times, meetings over the summer and a formal interview process in November the appointment of two clergy to West Wight has been announced, and they will play a key role in the exciting process of developing a new Team and emerging Mission Community.

The new clergy are: The Revd Leisa McGovern, currently Assistant Curate Ottervale Mission Community based at Ottery St Mary in Devon who will become Team Vicar Designate for Freshwater and Yarmouth and in due course for Totland as well. And, The Revd Clive Todd, currently Rector of the Lower Swale in North Yorkshire where he has responsibility for eight churches will be Team Rector Designate with responsibility for Brighstone, Shorwell, Mottistone, Brook, Shalfleet, Thorley, Newtown and Calbourne.

Licensing will take place on 22nd April at 4pm  Venue to be confirmed. Please keep both Clive and Leisa, their families and current parishes in your prayers as they prepare for a new ministry with us here in the West Wight.
