The Reverend Clive Todd

Having spent my early life in the North East working in the computer industry, I was to begin training for the ministry at Lincoln Theological College 1989-1991. I served my Title as curate of Consett in Durham Diocese enjoying positions after in inner-city Gateshead, the East Coast of Durham serving ex-coal mining villages, eventually becoming Rector of Ebchester and Vicar of Medomsley. Having become a facilitator on collaborative working in Durham, I moved to the Diocese of Lincoln in 2004 serving in a multi parish benefice during which time I became a Vocations Advisor, and Rural Dean of Lawres. In 2007 I became assistant DDO for Lincoln Diocese before becoming DDO for Canterbury in 2009. I was then to become Rector of the Lower Swale with responsibility for 8 Rural Churches in the Diocese of West Yorkshire and the Dales before taking up my new position with you as Rector of the emerging West Wight Mission Community.

I am married to Carolyne, and we have two large and boisterous Bearded Collies. In my leisure time I enjoy travelling and I like to keep fit having become an amateur Triathlete during my time in Yorkshire.

Carolyne and I look forward very much to our time on this beautiful island and we are sure that we will find great happiness here as we share our lives with you all.

I come with considerable managerial experience and yet although I will need to use those skills and experience in my role as your Rector, I have come primarily to be a Parish Priest, I look forward to getting close to you, serving you, loving and caring for you all, and becoming involved in the local communities as much as I am able.

May my ministry amongst you be richly blessed!

With my prayers and best wishes

Clive
